Ravens are intelligent birds and loyal to their trainers. They are quite good at solving puzzles. Ravens almost never attack and flee at the slightest hint of danger.
Ravens are often seen as pests in cities and civilized areas. They are intelligent enough to remember when and where to get at garbage and other sources of food. Precautions are often taken against them and when one raven figures out a way around the precautions so do all of the others.
Despite their intelligence and sociability they are almost never kept as pets, due to the fact they are seen mostly as carrion birds and therefore dirty. Spellcasters, on the other hand, are rather fond of keeping them around. Their ability to survey the land and report back to anyone makes them a very valuable familiar.
If they must fight Ravens will swoop down and peck at their target and then fly away as quickly as possible.
Garbage Eaters – A flock of ravens is making a mess of a town, eating garbage and letting it get all over the place. The ravens appear to be more intelligent than others of their species. They are quite adept at removing obstacles. In actuality, a rogue familiar is leading the flock of ravens.
